The development of drum gear coupling

Drum gear coupling is a new type of gear coupling developed on the basis of spur gear coupling and absorbing foreign advanced technology. It is composed of the outer gear sleeve with the tooth thickness of waist drum and the matching inner gear ring, which is suitable for heavy load and the need of axis displacement compensation of the two axis transmission.

In general, it is impossible for the two shafts connected to be completely concentric and continue to be concentric during operation, because there are installation errors, bearing wear, stress deformation, foundation subsidence and so on, resulting in radial and angular displacement of the axis. Drum gear coupling has the characteristics of compensating the above displacement, reducing the additional load caused by the axis displacement, improving the working stability and reliability of the transmission device, thus prolonging the service life of the transmission device.

In recent years, drum gear coupling has been widely used in many industries in China, from high-speed turbine units to medium and low speed heavy metallurgy, mining, lifting and transportation equipment and a large number of applications, but also formed their own standard series, in the design and manufacture have also accumulated rich experience.
