Characteristics and applications of rigid coupling

The rigid coupling has good starting ability, can change the motor load starting to no-load transmission, realize the soft starting of the working machine, reduce the starting current, can adjust the torque transfer, realize overload protection, with specific compensation performance, and flexible coupling matching, can improve the mechanical transmission performance. Suitable for starting with load or starting frequently without speed regulation of mechanical equipment, such as centrifugal water pump, blower, air compressor, belt conveyor, scraper conveyor, mixer, ball mill, etc. The working principle and characteristics are the same as the steel ball coupling, but the structure shape and the working process are different. The steel ball coupling takes the rotor as the active end, and the steel sand coupling takes the shell as the active end. The same with the steel ball coupling, the torque can be adjusted by changing the filling amount of the steel sand to achieve the function of overload protection. By changing different springs to adjust the sliding torque of the coupling, it can partially slow down the impact load when the transmission is started, and automatically skid when the load is started, and play the role of overload protection. Transverse speed, connection, operation balance, not only can be used for overload protection and no-load starting, mainly used for clutch, tension control, servo mechanism, speed regulation, test loading, reversing and so on, usually called magnetic powder clutch.
